Since 1986, family-owned Wes Hanson Builders of Crosslake, MN has been dedicated to bringing the finest quality in design and construction to the heart of Minnesota's lake country. Wes Hanson moved his company up to the Lakes area from Bloomington with his son Todd Hanson and nephews Tom Hanson and Brad Mytling. Together with Wes's wife Marilyn running the office, they built the company into the highly recommended general contracting company it is today. The legacy continues and Wes Hanson Builders continues to be the family company it started as.

Since the completion of our project with Wes Hanson Builders, We've been asked many times "would you do it again?" We respond quickly with: absolutely! Starting with the design process, Matt worked patiently with us to understand our ideas, then combined those ideas with his own creativity and design work. We love the blend of our own ideas with many of the Wes Hanson signature features used to create our custom design.
The building process itself was quite enjoyable. Jason managed our project and was very easy to communicate with. Phone calls and texts were promptly returned which was a big deal to us and changes that happened along the way were handled professionally and thoroughly. We feel he was genuinely invested in the project and was looking out for us throughout the entire process.
The office staff was very helpful and responsive as well - with any administrative details being worked through promptly and professionally.

Your use of the Co-construct website was very helpful for us to track our financial budget and monitor the building progress while sharing in real-time amongst the family. Shawn H. managed the sub-contractors very effectively and continues to be attentive to a few punch-list items.

We used Wes Hanson Builders to build a new cabin on Crosslake in Crosslake, MN during the winter of 2016-17. Their entire team was professional and stood 100% behind their timeline. We began demo and construction of the cabin in October 2016. The team finished the approximate 7,000 sq. ft. home in early May 2017. The product is superior, the finishes are as we requested, and they were attentive to all minor adjustments that we requested after move-in. Tom and the ENTIRE Wes Hanson team was a pleasure to work with. We also built the home while living 1,000 miles away with only one on-site electrical walk through.

Nancy and I recently retired from the same company both having worked over 40 yrs.
